Distances use real coordinates: baked directly onto an event when present, otherwise looked up once per venue (cached on this device) and compared against your device's actual GPS location. No ZIP code involved anymore.
"Export geocoded master data" bakes every venue's looked-up coordinates directly onto its event record and downloads an updated master-events.json — replace the packaged file with it so future loads (and other devices) skip the lookup entirely, the same way casinos.json ships with coordinates already on every casino.
Import CSV columns: title,type,category,state,city,venue,date,endDate,time,series,fair,lat,lon,distanceFrom14879,notes,website,source (lat/lon optional — if present, they're used instead of geocoding)

Browser imports are local to that device. For production, publish state files under data/states/ and entitlements can control which packs load.
